Located on the campus of Randolph College in Lynchburg’s historic Rivermont district, the Maier Museum features a renowned collection of American art. Primarily composed of paintings, works on paper and photographs from the 19th and 20th centuries. Most impressive are the works of American Impressionism and early-20th century Realism. Artists include Ben Shahn, Arthur B. Davies, John Sloan, Georgia O'Keeffe and others. Academic year hours are Tuesday-Sunday, 1-5 p.m.; summer hours are Wednesday-Sunday, 1-4 p.m.
