Diverse offerings in an intimate setting...
Also known as the “Ellington Fellowship Playhouse,” this unique musical venue in historic downtown Lynchburg features top national and regional acts ranging from jazz and rock to folk and blues. Since opening in 1984, The Ellington has hosted such acts as Delbert McClinton, Ellis Marsalis, Taj Mahal, Terrance Simien and many others. It offers an intimate setting designed to bring people together through music. “Ellington Fridays” provides an outlet for winding down from the workweek, featuring some the area’s best bands. The Ellington also sponsors an outreach program – “MusicBridge” – aimed at cultivating and exposing artistic talent in the community.



Arts Along 460 This site represents a collective effort of the Roanoke Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau, Bedford Department of Tourism and the Bedford Welcome Center and Lynchburg Regional Convention and Visitors Bureau to promote the diversvse, historic, cultural and fine arts along the U.S. Route 460 corridor(also know as the Lynchburg Salem turnpike).
